While it’s nice to see that we as Americans like thinking about our future in the form of Social Security, Medicare/Medicaid and taking care of our veterans and federal workers,  the relatively minuscule amount allocated for education, science research and especially transportation infrastructure is jarring, to say the least.  Additionally, what’s REALLY interesting is the ‘all other’ category, which at 3% of total expenditure, is the same amount that’s federally allocated for education.
